The weather

Climate is the average temperature in one place, like here in California the average temperature is about 70° (F) ,And climate is the temperature of one day. In the rain forest it has a very hot, and humid climate, in the tundra the climate is usually cold, but maybe on some days the weather is a little warmer.

The tundra is a place that is almost completely flat, and has allot of snow all year round, and in the summer it is sort of warm, but still cold. The animals that live in the tundra are lemmings, polar bears, snowy owls, caribou, bears, pika and allot of other animals. In the summer the tundra doesn’t have that much snow, allot of regular ground, dirt, but is almost always cold. There are three type so tundra, Antarctic, artic, and alpine.

The deserts of the world are some of the hardest places to live in. There are 3 types of deserts, one is the really hot desert, the other is the cold deserts, and the in between deserts, which are cold and warm. The deserts are hot and can not support many types of animals, only certain type of animals can live there like the kangaroo rat, snakes coyotes and other things. The vegetation is practically only cacti, shrubs.

The rain forests are a big deal for our planet. Many things that humans need like medicines that are made from the plants in the rain forests. The rain forests only cover there 7% of our planet. And the rain forest produces most of our oxygen. Allot of animals that people have never heard of live in the rain forest, It is to bad that rain forests are dying really fast, at least one rain forest animal go’s extinct every 15 minutes, so humans need to do something about, and some plants that are there make chocolate and coffee.

Oceans are the largest ecosystem in the world, and oceans covers 70% of the world. There is the Euphotic, bathyal, and the abyssal zone. In the Euphotic zone animals like plankton live there, in the bathyal has almost no light or absolutely no light what so ever. In the abyssal and the pressure there can crush you flat, and it is completely dark. There are many different type of animals in each zone.Corals are made made of dead animals, and can support many different small fish. And the ocean floor is not flat it has cliff and mountains.

There are a lot of different biomes, many places like the tundra which is very cold all year, and the animals there need a lot of fur to keep them warm. So if a polar bear was moved from the artic to the dessert, it would die, because the climate can not support the polar bear. Every biome is designed to support a certain type of animal, and the animal has to adapt to the environment. An example is humans. Humans have lived for thousand of years, and we have adapted to the changes in climate over the years, like some animals.
